downdays Session Gastein (22. -27. March 2010): „Belle Epoque“ meets Freeski

At the end of March, professional photographers, filmers and international freeski crews will follow the invitation of the downdays Session in Gastein. The freeski mediahouse downdays.eu calls from the 22nd-27th March 2010 exclusively to the art nouveau Villa Excelsior in Bad Gastein. During that week the crews are going to raise hell in the ski resort at the Gastein valley with its widespread backcountry and over 200 slope kilometres, where one of the biggest European photo- and video session will take place.


This meeting consisting of about 30 professional freeskiers and top photographers is considered a highlight of the freeski scene and will attract numerous Big Names as well as important scene-media. Besides cumulative snowpark and backcountry action, a cool framework programme will be offered to the riders so there won’t be a dull moment.

The general concept of the downdays Session explains as follows: Each production crew consists of three or four riders and photographers. The intention behind is to get out the maximum and collect extraordinary and high quality photo material within a relaxed atmosphere. All teams work under the same conditions, on the same mountain, in the same week and it demands much creativity and commitment to stand out in this top-class field. All together the best tricks are captured and the coolest shots will be published in the downdays Freeski Journal as well as online in the community of downdays.eu the weeks after. The filmcrews will produce one clip each that will also be presented at the website.
